Plebiscite of Timism

The following is a bill (or facsimile) to be introduced in the 2016 legislative section if enough Pledgers are elected. These issues will be publicized by Timism.com and other sources.

  1. Re-Time Loans: One-time refinance all loans (student, credit card, car, etc.) to zero-interest bundled loan with profit-sharing payback--an average of 8 weekly workhours. This is not new in history (Solon & Sulla) or in America (FedReserve, Sally May, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae where the rich bundle their assets and debts for wealth gain. Why is college costs hyper-inflated? Via 529's rich kids get the last generation's tuition which middle-class families have to make up with lost tuition dollars.
  2. Share Job Time or Jobless Crime: Convert the dollar savings of lower interest costs into a shorter workweek thus creating a 20% job vacuum. Workers will be pulled up the ladder with un-, under- and mis-employed getting on the job ladder which will significantly reduce crime, taxes, insurance and inflation.
  3. Community Service for healthcare costs. Convert the above time savings into time-serving the community with lifehour credits to be used for healthcare costs.

Benefits:

  1. 24 in 4: By better employing our human resources we can have a 24-hour workweek in 4 years with more disposable income and time for self, family and community in a safer, saner world.
  2. Teachers Flip-flop workweeks: MTWT ....TWTF .. MTWT .... TWTF: As teachers' workweek is reduced per 24 in 4 progress, many citizens will fill their healthcare community service by volunteering as classroom assistants and tutors with every other Friday/Monday being citizen-supervised study and fieldtrip days: Teachers will have two monthly 4-day weekends.

Why we need these reforms:

  1. Doughts Forever: This author in 1982 wrote "Droughts Forever" which stated that the most immediate effect of carbonating the atmosphere on humanity would be not heat but precipitation changes: Longer droughts broken by deluges, e.g., California drought and Midwest flooding (see Global Dying for documentation of numerous .)
  2. Primary Moral Imperative: Given what is at stake and the worsening climate chaos of droughts and floods, it is better to assume the worse and act to prevent the worst. Thus, we have a Primary Moral Imperative of saving life on earth from climate chaos.
  3. Social, Economic and Political Collapse follow the destruction of the food chain from drought and floods, e.g., ISSI, Talaban, alQueda, and Boka Horum. Since 1970 the Sahara Desert has expanded 200 miles south resulting in the loss of close to 1,000,000 square miles of farmland. Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore, Maryland, were economic protest over dwindling opportunities. More are to come if we don't reform.
  4. Virginia's Worsening Drought: If one investigates all the major droughts, past and present, they occur because of massive sources of CO2, e.g., Dustbowl/Texas, Africa/Saudi, etc. California drought is due to its fossil-fuel fuelishness with the CO2 soaking up California's water and dumping it on the Midwest--see $5 million ransom and Midwest Class Action Suit. The same CO2 dynamics will result in Dominions gas from Pennsylania will worsen Virginia's droughts and heatwaves with Virginia's water dumping into the Atlantic Ocean.
  5. Accountability/Transparency: Ethic violation will be reduced by a Smartphone app by which public officials sign-in when they are engaged in public business. Part of the app will allow voters, when observing an official in public, to check to see if the official signed in his current activity.
  6. Sanitize 401ks: Limit 401k funds to building American plants and jobs, not domestic and foreign insiders who counterfeit stock as stock options and "re-capitalization."

In 2015, this Plebiscite will be at the Virginia state level. Like the initial state programs of social security, health insurance, and other middle-class programs--the Plebiscite will a national issue in 2016. Vote for a Timist Pledger if you want the above future.
