Republicanism: Blind men meeting an elephant.

Bush and the GOP warrant a new variation of the old joke about three blind men running into an elephant. The old joke was a parable about how things often are not what they seem to be. Blind man #1 runs into the leg and says that the GOP is like an oil pipe. The second blind man runs into the elephant's side and says the GOP is a stone wall. The 3rd blind man runs into the trunk and says the GOP is a snake. A new blindman, #4, grabs hold of the tail and is drenched in a deluge of trickle-down, deep doo-doo. Gasping for air, the blindman realizes reality over illusion, saying, "An elephant is a republican, and Bush just had another gut reaction."
