Greetings,
In response to my complaint
about parking in which fire department Engine 22 was shown twisting around an
illegally parked car, the Richmond Police-Media Relations Information offered a
PSA (Public Service Announcement?): www.tinyurl.com/KeepCornersClear.
I took away the following:
- In the 10 days since its upload, 47 people had
looked at it. Does not say much for the 1000 employees of the RPD. At that
rate, it would take 40,000 days or over 100 years for all of Richmonders to
watch it. Crucial facts from video:
- Officer Hall of 4th Precinct said, "We don't
like writing tickets." For five years, RPD never wrote a ticket for my
neighbor parking illegally. I was consistently insulted and bullied by my
neighbor because they were not punished for their transgressions.
- After pontificating on illegal parking, Officer
Hall rode away on his motorcycle without writing a ticket for illegally
parked car!
- Will the illegally parked car driver think twice
before parking next to a corner again?
- The idea of a non-watched YouTube video making
the streets safer is an idea that calls into question the relevance of
the decision-making of the RPD's media group and
administration.
- Both Japan and Singapore show that enforcing the
minor laws reduces major crime.
- If you have a million unwatched "do-right" YouTube
videos, it has the moral impact of a million Bibles in an unvisited
warehouse.
- In not enforcing the laws, Richmond is wanting
something-for-nothing. Wishful carrots will not replace needed tickets.
- I guess RPD LIO's (Law Ignoring Officers) assume
other officers will write the tickets.
At this point, I want to make clear that
despite my vituperative, seething anger at mistreatment by the Richmond Police
Department, I am not a physical threat to anyone. If I was sitting in prison,
how can I sue both the city and police for violating my rights under the equal
protection clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution? Soon, in
a courtroom near you. Richmond would rather spend a ton of money on
defending poor policing and rather risk a million-dollar
settlement than to tell the police to write tickets for violating
laws. Chief Durham would do more for preventing crime by writing
one parking ticket than pleading at ten "Stop the crime" protests.
I expect to be further mistreated as tickets are
not written for a neighbor on the other side of my property who not only
violates parking laws but was a trespasser, liar and probable thief. The
newly minted MD's moved into the house that had been vacant for almost a quarter
of a century.I gave them security peep-holes for their front door as a welcoming
gift.
These doctors have illegally renovated the
kitchen and bathroom on the weekends without building permits. I have
always had a policy of lending tools to neighbors. Early in April, one of the neighbors (Goodreau) saw me in my
yard and asked if he could borrow an adjustable wrench. I showed him my tool
room, gave him a crescent wrench, and told him to leave it on the back porch
when done--SOP at 3600 Anne. About an hour later, my wife was surprised by him
in the tool room with other wrenches in his hand--a trespasser.
He said I told him to come and help himself whenever he wanted--a
lie. I am missing a drill which I must assume he took--a
thief.
I contacted the police who told me to put up No
Trespassing signs which I have done. I have also started to investigate Goodreau
with the intention of contacting the state medical board to bar him from
practicing medicine for unethical behavior. Would you want a surgeon who
trespasses on, lies to, steals from his neighbors? A new goal in my life is to
see him lose his VCU residency so he will move away so I don't have to see
him.
I think the young doctors assumed the old man next
door (me) was a nobody which my resume, achievements,
and references
refute. How many people do you know that graduated cum laude in two
years from a major state university of 29,000 students? Or, aced 24 hours in one
semester? Or, wrote in 1982 that rising atmospheric CO2 would cause droughts
with downwind deluges/flooding. Or, CO2: The Global, Multitasking Killer
Molecule. All of this is nothing compared
to Timism: The Morality of More
Time.
I hate mistreatment of others and of myself.
Goodreau is a mistreater.
Images of import:
Car parked in wrong direction, blocking half of
road.
Will these violators be ticketed or
be asked to review a YouTube video?
24/7 utility trailor, eyesore and safety hazzard,
forcing Bland Street into one-lane traffic. Been there for weeks.
Adequate
space behind house on Carson Street. Note SUV in front of trailer parked
wrong-side of street.
Cars coming around the curve think another vehicle is
coming at them or think that they are going wrong-way on a one-way
street.
