Dear Dr. Abouhizira,
I'd like to make an appointment for a physical in March, 2014. I am in good health though I could lose some pounds. Smoking about one cigar a month and drinking far less beer--only two cases a day (just kidding).
Basically, want to see I have any skin abnormalities. Thought I had a melanoma on one leg but it seems to have disappeared.
Since the spider bite of a Fall 2012(?) I have been having attacks of "migrating hives" about my upper torso. Originally, I thought I had had a stroke because of the lopsided face and slurred speech, but it was because of the swelling from the spider bite which started with a numbing sensation in my cheek and lips. These "migrating hives" are sometimes on my lips, cheeks or inside my mouth. A most unusual one was the swelling of my vocal chords which at the time seemed funny since my voice became very deep. Afterwards I realized my chords might have swollen to the point I could not breathe. Duration of the hives is about six to eight hours. There is no pain just the numbing and swelling.
I am sure it is something that I eat that triggers this latent response akin to my occasional visual migraine. The latter results from drinking certain coffees, e.g., Arabian Sannenee and Mexican Oaxhaca, which I avoid.
On January 21, 2014, I am scheduled to have an assessment of my heart at one of those hospital sponsored clinics. I will forward the results to you.
And, once again, I would appreciate your re-prescribing the Modafnil for my narcolepsy. I try not to use it unless I am going to be driving.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Other than global warming and climate change, I am lucky to have no worries in the world. Of those two, I am amazed at the rapidity of change and extremes that are being experienced world-wide. I wish it was like a movie or a pokergame so I could get up and leave without winning or losing.
Thanks
