Used Car Salesmen: Weathermen

The question was raise why specific weather personalities on TV had not responded to commuications on global warming--see media listing in particular Jim Duncan of NBC WWBT-12 in Richmond, Virginia and Al Roker, NBC Today show. (ABC and CBS were also contacted.)

When the question was raised why the weathermen had not responded, the answer was that they were voting their billfolds, that is, they did not want to alienate the primary source of advertising revenues. One need only watch TV to see what is advertised most: cars. As such, weathermen are really car salesmen not want to discourage people from buying the item that is most responsible for

  1. rising CO2
  2. global warming, and
  3. global dying.
