The Friends of Nelson County et.al. are missing the inevitable big picture of the Atlantic Coastal Pipeline as the Friends focuses on the local impact if, that is, if, the pipeline should break. The actual, unavoidable negative impact will be greater in scope. The impact will come from increasing the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide on the Atlantic Coast.
I wrote my first paper on global warming in 1982 in which I predicted worsening droughts with downwind sudden deluges. Each succeeding year recorded worsening droughts, deluges, fires, floods and heatwaves as CO increased. The West Coast fossil fuel follies cause the droughts with downwind floods in the Midwest, South and East Coast. I am running for Congress to increase public awareness of the "organic" reason that CO2 causes climate change. I am willing to travel to Charlottesville on Tuesday, September 15, to distribute my handouts (front back) at UVA during the day if you allow me to distribute before the movie at the Ivy Creek Center showing the film "Won't Pipe Down." My campaign has two primary foci, global warming and middle-class survival. If we do not improve our democracy and capitalism to save the middle-class, then nothing can be saved. The Syrian middle-class does not care about global warming only its next glass of water.
My campaign is in its beginning public stages. I will be doing my first media press releases this week. However, if you review the content of my campaign site, you will see a lot pre-work with numerous activities to be launched in good time. Reviewing my resume and achievements should convince you that I have a high intellect which is buttressed with motivation and morals. Of the latter, I live like a baby chicken--cheap, cheap, cheap. Or, as Gandhi said, "Live simple so others can simply live."
You need city dwellers en masse. If you explain the CO2 impact of worsening droughts, heatwaves, inflation and dropping water tables on the Mid-Atlantic states, then you will have a larger, more active citizenry to help you. Toward this goal, I created SaveAtlanticCoastLine.com.

Please let me know if you want to meet. If I don't hear from you that it is ok to distribute my campaing material and SaveAtlanticCoastLine literature at movie viewing outside then I will stay in Richmond that day. If I hear from you, I will send a press release to my list of media contacts to encourage them to come for more regional reasons rather than a local concern.
