Craigslist Use for Cave Gardens

Craigslist can be a nexus for people needing or offering the following service(s). The posting or search terms should be as follows:

  1. CaveGarden Construction
  2. CaveGarden Manure (free or cheap), best applied in fall if fresh, later if seasoned.
    1. If fresh till quickly.
    2. Chicken maure stinks the most but is very rich.
  3. CaveGarden Chips/Mulch: If you are a tree remover who generates chips, place an add with recipients agreeing to pay a delivery fee plus a cubic yard charge based on the height of the chip cone when dropped--see Chips/Mulch for more details
    A cubic yard of mulch will provide a 1" coverage for 243 sq.ft. Thus, if one has a 20x25 garden of 500 sq.ft., one would need 2 cubic yard.

     For my 4000 sqft garden, I get  about 25 cubic yards in one delivery.

  5. CaveGarden Tilling: If you search for a tiller, add "-boat -outboard" to avoid entries for watercraft engines.
  6. CaveGarden Seed Bee (if you want to organize a seeding bee)
  7. Garden Tools
  8. Yard sales
  9. Estate Sales
  10. Tillers (if you want to buy rather than hire): If you buy a tiller, buy a brand-name at least 20 years old with a 6 to 8 horsepower engine.

As a rule for one's garden needs, one can find more faster with Craigslist than with eBay. The latter has the expense of shipping without the benefit of inspection before purchase.
