A teacher at Westover Hills Elementary School told my 8-year old black god-daughter that she should not be picked up by an old white man. I am 75. An adult should not dump their racial biases upon a child. This is crowjimism. MLK didn't die for reverse racism. She usually walks ahead. Is she embarrassed by this attitude at WHES?
Her mother has told me her daughter wants to play after school rather than learn. So when I pick her up she pouts and projects "Leave me alone." A call to her mother ends the pouting whereupon the student warms up. She becomes an enjoyable companion for my wife and me. She likes to cook and bake insisting on being the chief chef. I give her the choice: Do the dishes or read a book--I wash a lot of dishes.
Since she was one I have been a positive force in her rocky road. In kindergarden and first grade, I tutored her 3 to 5 afternoons for two hours. She was paid minimum wage with half going into a college savings account, now $1,250. She had her first train trip with her mother. She lost her Barbie doll that required a replacement. I hope to share her first airplane ride. On Dec 29, she will have an eye exam and possibly glasses.
We went to the Outer Banks lighthouses and the DC Black History Museum. In August, we went to VMFA Frieds Kahlo exhibit. She has an artistic bent. One 8.5x11 sketch became a 3'x4' poster hanging in my office. I want to raise her hopes beyond Midlo Village. I want for her what I wanted when I was her age in her predicament.
My interests in Khloi are multi-fold. It is not purient. With my impending retirement, I decided to repay those who helped me escape extreme poverty and depravity. Only in literature have I encountered a harder start-of-life. My 75-year old grandma took me in at age 8. Since college, I've told to write a biography. I am canvassing publishers.
Repaying my angels would be helping a child at the bottom of the totem pole of opportunity. In this still overly white man's world, a black female child has the hardest row to hoe. Those females who survive this obstacle course become some of the best, strongest humans alive. That is what I want for my godchild.
It is not an easy helping path. I would be untrue to my mentors if I cherry-picked a child that did not need help. Outside interference by a racist teacher has not made it easier for a very intelligent child confused by her predicament. Earlier this year, she blurted out, "I am afraid of being homeless." Think what that means in terms of the many moments of uncertainty that prompted her to share that angst.
I have striven to undo the dark igknowance of my early years to nurture the "happy sunshine of human equality." With my god-daughter, I am not trying to make her white but a green Black. As a better student, she will have more green in her pocket and bank. In our interactions, I rarely think of her a black child but as a complex human personality. Khloi rounds out my life achievements to be a happier human person in my final years.
I've told her that if she graduates from college that I will leave her my estate, currently low seven figures. I expect a jump in 2026. My wife and I have no children because of her heart problems and my obsessive researching a theory of existence--Timism. If I could not be a good 24/7 father then I would not be one. (I never knew my father. My mother had eight kids by three men in nine years beginning at the age of 15.)
I don't want to discuss this time-wasting matter further except in a court-of-law if another racist incident troubles the soul of a troubled child. A black friend and teacher expressed "Disgusting" and encouraged me to sue to stop such counter-productive actions. I hate being maligned when I am doing good.

Tutor Wanted: When I go Europe in 2026, I want a WHES student in 4th
or 5th grade to tutor Khloi after school. The rewards are multi-faceted.
